Environmental Awareness
SCS Plastics, inline with broad community awareness, is concerned with the environmental risks associated with the Plastic Packaging Industry. The company is keenly observing and testing new materials that are environmentally friendly.

Wherever possible, SCS Plastics procedures comply with adopted recycling practises. The materials used in production are CFC free, ozone safe and recyclable. To improve waste control, SCS Plastics invested in a Granulator to recycle products which are subsequently reconstituted into materials for re-processing.

SCS Plastics are supporters of the National Packaging Covenant. All activities undertaken at SCS are in line with the Environmental Code of Practice for Packaging.

SCS Plastics are committed to responsible consideration of all packaging applications and the effect of our products on the environment.

Where possible we recommend the use of environmentally friendly materials. In applications where such materials do not apply, SCS actively provide information on responsible disposal of non-recyclable plastics.

SCS has procedures in place which result in the efficient collection of in-house plastic waste. These materials are directed to agencies that are able to reconstitute the materials into new products and applications.
